Week 6: Next Steps

I have been thinking about the next steps I need to take with my project and what I need to do in order to move forward. As mentioned previously I want to give more consideration to what I want the project to do, specifically the context and environment it will be used in as well as what benefit I want it to have. Overall I want my product to help independent luthiers create better custom instruments by aiding the interactions they have with their customers but as I mentioned previously it could potentially be made into a device which creates this conversation over long distances. I have also had the thought that by making the device out of wood it could give the luthier a chance to sell their skills, as the customer will have a physical example of their crafting skills. Investigating these options properly will require further investigation and to this end I am getting in touch with more luthiers. Hopefully by exploring these options I will have more ideas and clarity going forward.
